Review of Three Hamburger Restaurants in Portland, Oregon
Mike’s Drive-In is located just eight miles from Downtown Portland, Oregon in Milwaukie. Owner, Todd Freeman got the restaurant bug at the tender age of fourteen when he took his first job in a restaurant. With only one front person and one cook, Todd learned the ropes.
Todd grew up in Milwaukie and was friends with Mike Martin who opened the original Mike’s Drive-In in 1971. In 1973, Mike opened another place in Milwaukie. He built a successful restaurant with a great reputation. Sadly, he was killed in an automobile accident twelve years later.
Todd stepped up to manage Mike’s Drive-In for Mikes family and got the opportunity to purchase the restaurant after his twenty-second birthday. He did not make many changes because he knew Mike’s family would not be happy. He understood Mike had built a solid following and it is best not to make any drastic changes.
As the years passed, Todd started making some changes like adding fish and chips to the menu and variations on the traditional hamburger. There are over one thousand six hundred positive online reviews giving Mike’s Drive-In a strong four-point-five-star rating.
Next Level Burger is a one hundred percent plant-based hamburger franchise with thirteen locations throughout the United States including the one in Portland, Oregon. It is the creation of Matt and Cierra de Gruyter.
Matt and Cierra took the leap to open Next Level Burger even though they had a young family. They wanted to bring healthier choices to the hamburger lovers of the world and show them plant-based food can be just as satisfying.
It is obvious they have put their heart and soul into every bite. The popularity of their plant-based hamburgers shows in their success and the rave reviews they get on the world wide web. With over four- and one-half stars, it is good to know healthy food can be the better choice.
Located just twenty-five miles from Downtown Portland, Oregon in the small town of Camas is K & M Drive-In. Owners Kevin and Melinda opened their doors on February 11, 2013 and have not looked back since then.
Kevin and Melinda use as many local vendors to provide fresh meat and produces at K & M Drive-In as much as possible. They met and fell in love over thirty years ago while working in a fast food restaurant. As the years passed, Kevin worked many managing positions in restaurants but always yearned to open his own place. When the opportunity to open K & M Drive-In came up, they jumped on it.
Today, their internet evaluations have netted them a four-point-seven-star rating with close to eight hundred posts. For sure it has a lot to do with the fact they prepare everything fresh when ordered, nothing is pre-cooked.
